My car is in the process of some maintenance work but I want to say this is by far the best customer service I’ve received from an auto shop, ever. I have a feeling that my car is in great hands.

My first interaction with Troy Auto Care was after having a flat on 75 in the middle of winter, the tow truck/maintenance guy was so kind and helpful. I’ve taken my car there for every repair since. Most recently for a brake repair where they were able to fit me in on a busy Saturday and finished the job same day. Would recommend to anyone looking for fast, kind, trustworthy service.

Had sons car towed in for not starting, needed a starter motor. They took care of replacement very quickly and at a fair price. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because bill is marked “Odometer Not Available”. Fair enough, as LED odometer on cluster is in fact out, but then why not throw OBD scan tool on car to read odometer for repair warranty documentation? (Son picked up car or I would have asked there). Update: The day after I posted the above, Troy Auto contacted me to follow up. They explained that the tech had felt it likely that my sons car was too old (2006MY) to pull odometer with scan tool, but that I was welcome to return for them to try. They further stated that, if unable to obtain odometer that way, they would be happy to provide an extended warranty on the repair based strictly on date of purchase. I find this level of responsiveness to a voiced concern refreshing, bumping rating to 5 stars. Well done.

The staff is excellent, and the waiting room clean. They offer complimentary wifi and beverages, as well as a TV and a variety of phone chargers. The reason I'm giving three stars is because I went in for an alignment after I replaced my tie rods, and when I left it was worse than when I brought it in. I had to go back a second day, and they did it correctly, but it was a simple alignment and I expected it to be one and done. That being said, the prices were great, and all the other customers in there seemed to be return customers and they knew them all by name.

Called AAA to have my car checked out a couple weeks ago due to electrical issues and the guy that came out was from this shop. Super nice and helpful, ended up suggesting this shop to get my car looked at because it certainly wasn’t the battery. The tow guy was also super friendly. Turned out to be my alternator although I already had it replaced earlier in the year, got it back only for the alternator to take a turn again a few days later. They sent out another tow (also a VERY kind guy) and took care of the issue again using the warranty from their recent work and didn’t charge for the tow. I’d give five stars however now my rear turn signals don’t work when they were fine prior to this happening and I’d assume something like this would’ve been checked before giving my car back seeing as thats electrical which was the reason it was brought in, let alone even mentioning it to me before I drove it home since I could get a ticket for not having them. I also never got an explanation as to why I had to replace an alternator for the second time in a year since they clearly should last longer than that and after paying what I did that should be discussed. However other than those two issues I can’t complain and would recommend this shop. Maybe it was an unusual situation for them? I don’t know, just please be more informative with your customers and make sure their vehicle is safe to drive after any work you do.
