I took my truck up here because ONE of my brake lines blew. I dropped it off on Saturday evening. They didnt call me to tell me what they were replacing or how much it would be. I didnt get a call from them until tuesday around 11 am. They said it was done and ready to be picked up. Money isn't the issue. They replaced more than they had to but that wouldn't have been a big deal if they had done a proper job. They sell the brake line kits for my truck because of the number of complaints GM had about brake lines blowing. It's a little more than $100 for the kit. They used bulk steel tubing and hand bent all of it. Charged me $91.71 for the parts. Not even half of my lines were replaced. Not only does it look like garbage work but one of the lines was on my steering shaft right where a bolt is so, not only would have it been rubbing but the bolt would have been constantly smacking it every time I turned. I'm scared to look at the rest of the work they did. Needless to say I WILL NEVER HAVE THESE PEOPLE WORK ON MY VEHICLES EVER AGAIN. Edit: they left all the old brake lines on too. Just zip tied the new ones together and called it a day.
Hi Ryan, we are so sorry you had a negative experience at our shop. We apologize for any misunderstanding and miscommunication on our part and would like the chance to make things right. We did follow up with our technician, as well as the video footage from the time your vehicle came in, to when we were finished with the repair. We were able to replace the first break line, and during the repair the second brake line broke due to corrosion. This is a common occurrence when replacing break lines due to corrosion from salt, damaged roads, and normal wear and tear of driving the vehicle. Which lead to the second replacement. As for the old break lines, we would like to take responsibility and can assure you that we are taking the proper actions in training our technicians. We value our customers and would like to discuss your experience further. Please give Donnie a call at (248)585-8750. Thank you.
