The city of Birmingham, MI, is located in Oakland County, a few miles southwest of Troy in the Woodward Corridor on the north side of Metro Detroit. Known by its motto, “A Walkable Community,” Birmingham covers close to five square miles of land, home to a population of more than 21,000 people.
The first residents of the area received mail through Bloomfield, until Birmingham established its own post office in 1838. The settlement was incorporated as a village in 1864, then officially became a city many years later, in 1932. Today, Birmingham is home to one of the region’s oldest churches, the First United Methodist Church, built in 1839. The city maintains more than 20 parks, including Shain Park, the site of the Village Fair, summer music concerts and many community events.
At Troy Auto Care, we strive to maintain a strong, ongoing relationship with drivers from Birmingham. Our first shop has been in business since 1958, and now we’re proud to operate our second location just five miles west, both serving the Birmingham community.
