The city of Berkley, MI, is an inner-ring suburb of Detroit located in southeastern Oakland County, a few miles south of Troy along the Woodward Corridor. Berkley covers just 2.6 square miles of land, home to a population of more than 15,000 people.
The land that became Berkley was originally dense forest with pockets of swampland. Several dairy farms were operating by the 1840s, and Berkley was finally incorporated as a village in 1923 after significant early-20th century growth. The village officially became a city in 1932 during the Great Depression, followed by a resurgence of development following World War II. Today, Downtown Berkley is the site of many restaurants, boutiques and retail shops, as well as the annual Art Bash and Berkley CruiseFest.
At Troy Auto Care, we strive to maintain a strong, ongoing relationship with drivers from Berkley.
